Diegetic Sound: Comes from a source within the scene.
Eg- dialogue from the actors or music.

None Diegetic Sound: Sound is added to the soundtrack to heighten impact or create an emotional response.

1.(0:13) In this scene there is a use of None Diegetic sound. This part is very effective as it makes the viewer feel like the character is alone because of the tension the high pitched music creates, we get this feeling that everywhere is quite, dull and there is no one around. Because of the dramatic effect the audience begins to wonder what is going on, and what will happen next?

 

2.(0:46) In this second shot of None Diegetic Sound, a voice starts to appear and become louder than anything else going on in the scene that we can see, this helps the trailer become more exciting and creates suspense to the audience here is were we start to wonder that something is going to happen as  more powerful music kicks in.

 

3.(1:04) In this third shot of None Diegetic Sound, the scene creates a lot of tension as the music gets very loud and powerful, it also gives off the thought that action is taking place and makes us want to watch more. This part is an important and effective part as I think this is a main point were the trailer drags you in, because of the powerfulness the music gives off the viewers will want to watch the film.

 

 

 Diegetic Shots.

 

 

1(1:18) In this scene the director has used a use of Diegetic Sound, this is effective in the trailer as we can hear the sound of the ships and it creates a compelling emotion towards the viewer. It creates a big entrance as it zooms through the bright lights beams, we know that action is taking place and something is going to happen by the strength the scene gives. This makes us want to watch more and find out what is going on.

 

1.(1:35) In this second scene there is a use of Diegetic Sound, this part is effective as it shows the two ships shooting at each other in battle. This is very intriguing as it causes excitement and also can cause havoc as well. The viewer could have mixed emotions in this scene. The audience would enjoy this part as we want to know who will win, what spaceship destroyed the other, it could be havoc because the side that you were on, their spaceship could be the one that was demolished. 

 

2.(1:58) The Final  Diegetic Sound in this trailer is the sound of two of the main characters having a battle with their light sabers, the diegetic sound is the noise we are hearing coming from the sabers as they are being swung around and smashed together. This creates suspense and tension in the scene as we are nervous to find out who will be the last one standing and who will be defeated. This is effective because its not boring its thrilling and eye catching, making the viewer attached and wants to keep watching.
